11423. (souvenir dish) c.1900. An unusual, bright, decorated commemorative dish featuring a beautiful full color image of the “U. S. Life Saving Station, Salisbury Beach, Mass.”. This extremely large and rare piece is quite attractive and bears a fine, close, full color image of the Duluth-Type station located just south of the New Hampshire state line. The dish is quite bright and distinctive, and measures 7” wide, and is enhanced by a decorative gilt trim on a chocolate brown oval rim. Labeled “Made in Germany for M. F. Farwell, Amesbury, Mass.” Clean, a very detailed, pretty piece for your display with nice detail and coloration. (VG+). $48.

 

6524n. (souvenir creamer) c.1900. An unusual, bold, bright cobalt blue commemorative creamer featuring a beautiful full color image of the “U. S. Life Saving Station, Salisbury Beach, Mass.”. This fairly large piece has a large 2 3/8” full color image of the tall Duluth-type station that was constructed in 1897. The detailed image shows the entire station including the porch, boat ramp and drill pole. This item is quite attractive and unusual, with deep cobalt blue color and gilded trim. Creamer measures 3 ½” high and is clean, only light wear to gilding. A very detailed, striking piece for your display. (VG+). $88.

Completely illustrated with over 500 color photographs. A hundred years ago, souvenir china was all the rage in the US . For the first time this well known expert from Chatham , Mass. presents a complete guide to the background and manufacturers, along with an in-depth analysis, descriptions, and current values. For those of you who have been collection lighthouse and life-saving commemorative pieces, or who would like to collect pieces from your hometown, this is a most valuable reference. 20402. [paperweight] Heavy glass rectangular paperweight featuring an early c.1900 photograph of U.S. Life Saving Station. This rare item features a close photograph of the modified Port Huron Type station, possibly the Damiscove Island LSS, Maine. Visible are members of the crew with finely dressed ladies seated next to the double boatroom doors. Photo remains clear and sharp, overall in excellent condition. 2 ½” x 4” x ¾” h. One of the few such items of this remote Maine Life Saving station and most desirable. (F-). $138.

10481. [paperweight] Heavy glass rectangular paperweight featuring an early c.1900 photograph of a manned U.S. Life Saving Service Surfboat. This rare item features a close photograph of the crew manning the oars as the keeper stands at the steering oar. Clear, sharp, b/w image. Not labeled. Measurements 2 ½” x 4” x 1” h. One of the few such items depicting a surfboat and most desirable. (VG). $34.

1106. (souvenir cup) c.1900. An unusual, bright, decorated commemorative cup featuring a beautiful full color image of the “Light-House Point Pinos, Pacific Grove, Cal.”. This unusual item is quite attractive and bears a fine, close, full color image of the early style, old lighthouse tower with keeper’s dwelling. Cup is quite bright and distinctive, and measures 2 3/8” in diameter and 2 3/8” high, and is enhanced by a decorative gilt trim around the rim and on the handle. Marked “Whitlock Made in Germany [for] Gilman’s Curio Store, Pacific Grove, Cal.” Clean, no cracks, only one minute chip on rim, a very detailed, pretty piece for your display with beautiful coloration. 10451. (souvenir dish) c.1900. An unusual, bright, decorated commemorative dish featuring a beautiful full color image of the “North Head Light-House” at the mouth of the Columbia River, Washington. This unusual item is quite attractive and bears a fine, close, full color image of the tall old lighthouse tower with entrance building. Dish is quite bright and distinctive, and measures 5 3/8” in diameter, and is enhanced by roses and a decorative gilt trim around the rim. Labeled “Made Expressly for H. A. Vincent, Long Beach, Wash”. Clean, no cracks, a very detailed, pretty piece for your display with beautiful coloration. (VG+). $54. 

    

1094. (souvenir creamer) U. S. Life-Saving Station, North Scituate, Mass. c.1900. Lovely gilt decorated bright white round creamer featuring a large, detailed full color image of the early Bibb #2 Type life saving station on the beach at North Scituate, Massachusetts. Backmarked “Made in Germany for M. G. Seaverns & Co., North Scituate, Mass.” Beautifully decorated with flowers framing the image and gilt highlights and borders. Clean, no cracks or checks, a very detailed, unusual presentation with bright image for your display. A large, striking piece. (F-). $118.

2359b. (commemorative plate) A bright white commemorative plate with gilded edge featuring a beautiful clear, detailed b/w image of the Lime Rocks Light, Home of Ida Lewis, Newport, RI. c. 1900. This piece quite striking, with a clear, detailed image of the keeper’s house where Ida and her father lived and from which the light was shown each night. This pretty piece measures 8”  in diameter and is quite bold with a fancy gilt border  on the bright white plate body.  Marked “Germany”. A very attractive piece. Clean, bright, only very light edge wear. (F-). $88.

  

29350. (souvenir teapot) Five Mile Point (New Haven Harbor) Lighthouse, New Haven, Conn. c.1900. Lovely large gilt decorated cobalt blue souvenir teapot measures 4 ¾” wide by 4” high. Featured on the side is a good size detailed full color image of the tall masonry light tower with attached keeper’s dwelling on Five Mile Point near the harbor entrance. Backmarked “Made in Germany .” Clean, no cracks or checks. A very detailed, striking presentation with bright gilding for your display. (VG+). $88.

  

10420. (souvenir plate) A rare, bright, gilt decorated rose decorated commemorative dish featuring a beautiful clear, detailed color image of the Grays Harbor “Light House near Hoquiam, Wash.” c.1900. One of the few of this rare lighthouse that I have found, this striking piece measures about 8 ¼” in diameter and is enhanced by a beautiful decorative rose pattern and gilded border. The unusually detailed image includes all aspects of the lighthouse tower and nearby water tower perched on the bluff. Standing 107 feet tall, this is the tallest lighthouse in Washington, and the third tallest on the West Coast. The base of the lighthouse rests on a 12-foot-thick foundation of sandstone. The lighthouse walls, which are four feet thick at the base, are made of brick with a coating of cement on the exterior. 135 metal stairs bolted to the wall lead to the lantern room. Originally windows lit the interior of the tower, but to cut down on maintenance they were cemented over when electricity was added to the station. Marked “Wheelock Made in Austria for Powell & Ross, Hoquiam, Wash. Vieana. Quite clean, bright, a beautiful display piece. Unusually large, bold view of this well-known Washington lighthouse. (VG+). $84.

27378b. (souvenir dish) Pemaquid Point Lighthouse, Bristol . Me. c.1900. Lovely gilt decorated round dish measures 6 3/8” with upturned decorated sides. Featured on the dish is a wonderful, large detailed b/w image of the early rubble-stone light tower and attached keeper’s dwelling. Backmarked “Made in Germany for George Bliss, Waldoboro, Me. ” Lovely piece is clean, no cracks or checks, only very light wear to edge, about as nice as they come. A very detailed, pretty little item for your display,  attractive presentation. (F-). $144.

2054. [paperweight] Heavy glass paperweight featuring an early c.1890 photograph of "Life-Saving Station, Salisbury Beach, Mass." This rare item features a nice detailed sepia photo image of the Keeper and crew posed on the boat-ramp with their beach apparatus cart and surfboat. The crew is poised with the pull ropes over their shoulder while their pet dog sits faithfully at their feet. Quite rare early Life-Saving Service image and collectible, clear, crisp. Paperweight measures 4" x 2 ¾" x 1"h. (VG+). $168 net.

 

29211. (souvenir creamer) Sperry Lighthouse, Savin Rock, Conn. c.1900. Lovely gilt decorated cobalt blue creamer features on the side is a beautiful full color image of the “sparkplug type” lighthouse and breakwater. Beautifully presented, in cobalt blue with lovely gilt decoration gracing the image, edges and ornate handle. Backmarked “Germany”. Clean, no cracks or checks, little if any wear. Measures 3 ½” high. A nice presentation with bright gilding for your display. (F-). $88. 

29170. (souvenir creamer) Gray’s Harbor Lighthouse and Fog Signal Building , Westport , Wash. c.1900. Lovely colorful creamer measures 4” high, with a bold hand painted full color image of the light tower and steam fog signal building perched on the bluff. Backmarked “Made in Austria for Wheeler Bros. Tea & Coffee Store, Aberdean, Wash.” Clean, no cracks or checks, little if any wear. A very detailed, striking piece for your display, unusually attractive coloration. (VG+). $74.

28430. [Victorian commemorative covered Mauchlineware box] c.1900. Superb, rare wooden Victorian covered box features a beautiful b/w lithograph of the “U.S. Life Saving Station, Salisbury Beach, Mass”. A pretty piece, the box is of hardwood, varnished and measures 3 3/8” x 4 ¼” x 2 ¼” h. The pretty image measures about 1 ½” oval and shows the tall Duluth-type station that was constructed in 1897, with the added lookout tower on the beach in front of the station. The box has a nicely hinges cover with a brass latch, and inside has been lined with a fine purple felt to protect your valuables. Such wooden Victorian era commemorative pieces, known as Mauchlineware, are exceptionally difficult to find and are quite pretty for display. Clean, some minor light wear and a few light scratches. Most Rare! $148 net.

Special early hand-painted plate features a beautiful full color image of the Whalesback Light House, Portsmouth , N.H. Beautiful clear image shows the stone tower and fog signal in exquisite detail, surrounded by the ocean in shades of greens and blues and enhanced by a gilded rim. Little if any wear save wear to gilding on rim. This piece is marked “…. Made in Germany.” Measures 6 ¼” diameter. Superb detail. (VG+). $115.

99459d. (commemorative dish) Whalesback Light House, Portsmouth , N.H. c.1900. Striking early hand-painted plate features a beautiful b/w image of the Whalesback Light House, Portsmouth , N.H. Beautiful clear image shows the stone tower and fog signal in good detail, surrounded by the ocean. Border of plate is of a striking deep blue enhanced by detailed gilded decoration and rim. Little if any wear save wear, very light age line in glazing  on back. . This piece is marked “B.F.H.S. China Made in Austria for H. C. Hopkins …. Portsmouth, N.H.” Measures 6 ¼” diameter. (commemorative vase) c.1900 A superb, large, striking sea green commemorative vase featuring a beautiful, detailed full color image of “Fort Canby The beautiful piece measures 5 ½” h in high and 2 ½” in wide, and is enhanced by a beautiful decorative gilt trim and ornate handles on two sides. Bulbous base of the vase sweeps upward into a slender upper rim, making this a most attractive piece. This item bears a fine, full color, close image of the tall lighthouse tower and nearby keeper’s dwelling perched on the rocky point, with a ship in the background Very clean, no cracks, little if any wear, a very detailed, striking item for your display and quite rare lighthouse piece. Lovely colorful creamer measures 3 ½”  high, with a bold hand painted full color image of the masonry light tower and entrance perched on the bluff. Backmarked “Made expressly for H.A. Vincent, Long Beach, Wash.” Clean, no cracks or checks, little if any wear. A very detailed, striking piece for your display, unusually attractive coloration. (VG+). $64.

  

21207i. [commemorative plate] An exceptionally rare, bright, gilt decorated and edged commemorative plate featuring a large clear, detailed color image of the “Lighthouse, Newport, Oregon.” c. 1900. One of only a few of this light that I have had, this fairly large plate has a large 3” full color image of the tall masonry light tower beside the 2-story keeper’s dwelling, barn and out-buildings. This detailed image shows the light tower and buildings the ocean in the background. This pretty display piece measures 7 ½” in diameter and is enhanced by a wide decorative gilded and decorated edge. Nice bright, detailed image reminds one of a painting. Marked “Made in Germany.”. Quite clean, bright, but some wear to gilt border. A beautiful, bright display piece at a great price. (VG). $74.

[commemorative dish] An exceptionally rare, bright, gilt decorated and edged commemorative dish featuring a large clear, detailed color image of the “Tillamook Rock and Lighthouse, Astoria, Oregon.” c. 1900. One of only a few of this light that I have had, this unusual piece has a large 2 ½” color image of the light on the tall rock island. This pretty display piece measures 6 ¼” wide and is enhanced by a decorative gilded and decorated edge. Marked “Made in Germany [for] John G. Niemi, Astoria, Oregon.”. Quite clean, bright, but some wear to gilt border. A beautiful, bright display piece at a great price. (VG). $74.

Superb bright white souvenir dish, featuring a close and detailed image of “Scituate Light, Home of Rebecca and Abigail Bates Heroines of the War of 1812.” Dish features a large, detailed b/w image of the old abandoned light attached to the Keeper’s dwelling in the center, surrounded by a decorative rim enhanced by gilt borders. Back marked “Made in Germany for Chas. W. Frye, Scituate, MA .” This striking collectible measures 5 ½” x 4” oval and would enhance any display. Unusually bright, clean, a beautiful piece. 8104b. (commemorative dish) “Fort Ontario & Inner Light, Oswego, N.Y.” c.1900. Special early hand-painted plate features a beautiful full color image of the long pier leading to the lighthouse with the fort visible in the background. Beautiful clear image shows the tall masonry tower and pier in exquisite detail, surrounded by the ocean in shades of browns and blues and enhanced by a gilded rim. Little if any wear to image but some wear to gilding on rim. This piece is marked “Wheelock Made in Germany for Jules Wendell & Son, Oswego, N.Y.” Measures 6” diameter. Superb detail. (VG). $110.

2801. (commemorative spoon) c. 1900. Beautiful, bold, silver spoon bears an engraved image of “The [Coquile River] Light House, Bandon, Oregon.” on the dish. This finely detailed piece shows the tall 1891 masonry light tower with attached fog signal building. The 5 ¼” inch spoon boasts a heavy molded handle with Oregon seal and spruce tree. Marked “sterling”. This is one of the nicer pieces, a beautiful, finely detailed commemorative piece and a most rare item for the lighthouse spoon collector. (VG+).  $74 net.

2884. [paperweight] Grace Darling Commemorative paperweight c.1900. Heavy glass rectangular paperweight featuring an early engraved image of British Heroine Grace Darling. The daughter of a lighthouse keeper, Darling grew up on Longstone in the Farne Islands. Grace become the focus of national attention after the steamship Forfarshire sank during a severe storm in September 1838. Nine people managed to find refuge on nearby rocks, and Darling and her father battled rough water to row to their rescue. The incident inspired numerous poems, paintings, and songs and made Darling a virtual cult figure. This rare item features a detailed early image of the lovely heroine, with a lengthy description printed on the bottom by The Shipwrecked Fisherman and Mariners Royal Benevolent Society. This may have been given in receipt for donations to the society. Very nice condition, clean, measures 2 ¾” x 4 ¼”  x ¾” h. A most attractive commemorative piece. (VG+). $54 net.

      

24413c. (commemorative sugar) c.1898. Most unusual piece features the “Whalesback Light [House], Portsmouth, NH.” on a bold hand painted sugar. This early piece is quite distinctive and enhanced by a hand painted sky background with bright gilt handle and rim decoration. Bold piece features an unusually large, close,  detailed full color of  the granite offshore lighthouse and steam fog signal. Measures 3 ¾” high by 5 ¼”  in diameter. Not marked. Clean, bright, no chips or cracks, just light wear to gilded edge. An unusually bright, bold piece for display and an exceptionally rare form. (F-).  $295.

27126. (commemorative cup/saucer) c.1900. Most unusual set features the “Whalesback Light [House], Portsmouth, NH.” on a bold hand painted cup/saucer combination. This early set is quite large and enhanced by a hand painted sky background with gilt borders and handle decoration. Bold saucer features a detailed full color of  the granite offshore lighthouse and steam fog signal. The cup measures 2 ¼” high by 3 5/8” in diameter. Saucer measures 5 ¾” in diameter. Marked Made in Germany.”. Set is clean, bright, no chips or cracks, just light wear to gilded edge. An unusually bright, bold set for display and an exceptionally rare form. (VG+). $245 set.

     

24413b. (commemorative sugar) c.1900. Most unusual piece features the “Whalesback Light [House], Portsmouth, NH.” on a bold hand painted sugar. This early piece is quite distinctive and enhanced by a hand painted sky background with bright gilt handle and rim decoration. Bold piece features a detailed full color of  the granite offshore lighthouse and steam fog signal. Measures 3 ¾” high by 4 ¾” in diameter. Marked “Made in Germany for Philbrick’s Pharmacy, Portsmouth, N.H. Jonroth.”. Clean, bright, no chips or cracks, just light wear to gilded edge. 27363. (commemorative mauchlineware letter holder) c.1900. Superb, rare wooden Victorian letter holder features a beautiful b/w lithograph image of the “Grindle Point Light House, Isleboro, Me.” A pretty little piece meant to hand on the wall to hold letter mail is of hardwood, varnished and measures 5 ½” high x 5” wide. The pretty image shows the tall  square masonry light tower, keeper’s dwelling and fog signal bell perched on the rock shore. Such wooden Victorian era commemorative pieces, known as Mauchlineware, are exceptionally difficult to find and are beautiful for display. Clean, some light wear. (VG).  $184 net.

2743b. (commemorative spoon) c.1910. Beautiful bold commemorative spoon bears a detailed raised relief image of the Tillamook Rock Lighthouse, Astoria, Oregon. The spoon features a highly-detailed image of the lighthouse perched high upon Tillamook Rock. The spoon measures 5 1/8”  long and is in marvelous overall condition for its age. Marked “Copyrighted Sterling”. Nicely detailed little commemorative piece and an extremely rare and desirable location, commemorating this important station. (F-). $84.

   

20306e. (commemorative creamer) c.1900. Superb large creamer, featuring a detailed full color image of Portland Head Light [house], Portland, Me. This is one of the more striking that I have found, featuring a very pretty and quite detailed full color image of this tall masonry tower, with the keeper’s dwelling and fog signal building perched on the rocky point. The creamer is of a classic style, enhanced by a short spout and handle on top with a very pretty gilt borders and trim. Marked “Made in Germany for J. R. Libby Co., Portland, Maine.” This beautiful collector’s piece measures 5”  high x 3” in diameter. This is a wonderful, early commemorative piece, clean and bright, striking. With slight closed age crack on back only.  (VG-).  $48 net.

  

27204. (souvenir bowl) c.1900. Striking black on white souvenir bowl featuring a lovely, detailed b/w image of the “Wreck of the Pilot Boat Columbia at Sand Hills, Gale of Nov. 27th, 1898.” Detailed image shows the wrecked vessel on the sand against an area house. Fine, clear detail makes this a great display piece. Bowl measures 6” in diameter by  1 ¾” high. Marked “Made in Germany for Chas. W. Frye, Scituate, Mass.” A hint of gilding on the rim, clean. (VG+). $116.

27220p. (commemorative spoon) c.1910. Beautiful large commemorative spoon bears a detailed raised relief image of the Tillamook Bay Life Saving Station in Oregon. The spoon features a highly-detailed image of the 1908 Petersons Point-style station that served for years and is today a private residence at Barview, Oregon. The spoon measures 5 ½”  long and is in marvelous overall condition for its age. Marked “Sterling”. Nicely detailed little commemorative piece and an extremely rare and desirable location, commemorating this only remaining station of its type. (F-). $116 net.

 

27156. (souvenir dish) Methodist Church, Downs, Kansas. c.1900. A bright, gilt  decorated commemorative dish in white,  features a large, detailed, clear full color image of the Victorian Methodist Church on Downs, Kansas. This superb piece measures  5 ¾”  in diameter with upturned decorated edges, and decorated with a gilt rim. Marked "Made in Germany for W. R. Bird, Downs, Kans." Very clean, no cracks or checks, wear to gilding on rim only. A very detailed, pretty little item for your display, unusually attractive piece. (VG+).  $28.

 

6794d. (souvenir cup / saucer) Old Scituate Lighthouse, Scituate, Mass. c.1900. A striking cup and saucer set is decorated in a bright rose pattern, and bears a large full color image of the old lighthouse and attached keeper’s dwelling at Scituate, Mass. The unusually detailed image includes all aspects of the unusual light tower, with early wooden walkway and keeper’s dwelling. 27169. (commemorative spoon) c.1900. Beautiful large commemorative spoon bears a detailed engraved image of the Light House at Pulaski, New York. The spoon is engraved “1900”  and features a highly-detailed engraved image of the striking stone keeper’s dwelling with the rooftop lantern room. The Selkirk Lighthouse sits at the mouth of the Salmon River. Originally called the Salmon River Light Station, the lighthouse was constructed in 1838 and remains today, complete with its original style early lantern room. The spoon measures 6" long and is in marvelous overall condition for its age, with surprisingly little surface wear from decades of polishing. The gold washed bowl is engraved “Pulaski Lighthouse, NY“ with “1900” on the handle back (rare to have a date engraved.). Nicely detailed little commemorative piece and an extremely rare and desirable location, commemorating this interesting early light station. (VG). $118 net.

This rare display piece measures 5 7/8” in diameter and is enhanced by a decorative lace design and  gilding around the edge. Nice detailed image but there is some light overall wear. 2586b. (souvenir dish) c.1900. Exquisite bright, detailed pin dish features a detailed b/w image of “Plum Island Light” House, Newburyport, Mass. Dish measures 5 1/8” square with clipped corners and provides a striking contrast to the large detailed image. In 1838 the original twin octagional lighthouses on this spot were replaced by a new pair of octagonal towers built on moveable foundations. In 1856 one of the lighthouses was destroyed by fire and it was decided not to rebuild. The surviving lighthouse received a fourth order Fresnel lens and remains today. This bold unusual vase measures 2 ¼” high and is enhanced by a gilt border and edging. Shown is the tall granite light tower and keeper’s dwellings on the remote offshore island. The image is beautifully done and quite attractive in shades of blues, greens, and rose. Marked “Wheelock Made in Germany for K. The creamer is of a classic style, enhanced by a short spout and decorated handle on top with a very pretty gilded borders and deep cobalt blue body. “Made in Germany ”. 2537. [demitasse  cup) United States Navy. Scarce original early United States Navy demitasse tea cup manufactured in the early years of the Twentieth Century for use in ships’ wardrooms and at some ‘stag’ stations. Of heavy white institutional type china, with little if any wear, free of any cracks or major defects. Pattern includes one cobaly blue fouled anchor on the body of the cup. A fine collectible,  2 ½” diameter,  2 ¼”  high. (VG). $16.

6699j. (souvenir dish) c.1900. An unusual, bold, bright cobalt blue commemorative dish featuring a beautiful full color image of the “U. S. Life Saving Station, Salisbury Beach, Mass.”. This fairly large piece has a large 2 ¼” full color image on white background of the tall Duluth-type station that was constructed in 1897. The detailed image shows the entire station, with the surfman posed on the boat-ramp in front of their surfboat. This item is quite attractive and unusual, made in a leaf shape with deep cobalt blue border and beaded, gilded trim. Dish measures about 6 ¼” and is clean, one leaf point chipped but not noticeable on the top. A very detailed, striking piece for your display. (VG+). $94 net.

A bright, gilt decorated commemorative cup in white, featuring a large, detailed, clear full color image of the “Point Concord Light (House), Harve de Grace, Md.” This pretty little piece features a finely detailed image of the tall masonry light tower, and quaint  keeper’s dwelling. perched on the grassy knoll, complete to each tree and fence. Quite rare and distinctive, the cup measures 2 ¼” tall and is enhanced by decorative gilt border on  the petite handle and around the rim. “Made in Germany.” Clean, bright, with one light chip on rim but it does not detract.  23533. (souvenir creamer) “Saltonstall House, Ipswich , Mass. Built 1635.” C.1900. This is a Demi creamer from Ipswich MA. On the front is a large, finely detailed image of the Saltonstall House, Ipswich , Mass.  The creamer measures approx. 3 ¼”  high and 3 ¼”  across and is enhanced with a petite gilt trim about the handle and rim. Marked “Made In Germany (for) A. C. Damon, Ipswich , Mass. 139.” The condition is very good with no chips or cracks, a beautiful and rare piece. (F-). $58 net.

This is one of the more striking that I have found, featuring a very pretty and quite detailed full color image of this tall masonry tower, with the keeper’s dwellings to each side. The creamer is of a classic style, enhanced by a short spout and handle on top with a very pretty gilt borders and trim. “Made in Germany .” This beautiful collector’s piece measures 4 ¼”  high x 2 ½” in diameter. This is a wonderful, early commemorative piece, clean and bright. (F). $118 net.

 2023b. (souvenir spoon). Charming, petite commemorative spoon bears a raised image on the handle tip of  ”Nubble Light, York , Maine . This finely detailed little piece shows in relief the tall iron light tower with attached keeper’s dwelling. Measures 3 ½” long and is in excellent as found (unpolished) condition. A nice piece commemorating this interesting light. (F). $18 net.

 2389. (souvenir dish) A bright commemorative dish featuring a beautiful clear, detailed blue on white image of the “Light House, Biloxi , Miss. ” c. 1900. This dish quite striking, with a bold detail of the tall masonry lighthouse tower, causeway and surrounding  buildings and landscape. This is a striking piece,  measuring 6”  in diameter and is quite attractive with the 3 ¼”  image on the stark white body. Marked “Semi Porcelain”. With a light blue floral border, this is a most attractive piece. Extremely difficult to find pieces of this interesting  station. (souvenir cup) A stout, bright, gilt decorated commemorative cup in crème and white, featuring a detailed, clear, full color image of the "The Lighthouse, Ten Pound Island, Gloucester, Mass.". Quite rare and distinctive, the cup measures 2 ¾" tall and is enhanced by decorative gilt framing around the image, and gilt border around the petite handle and rim. The very fine, detailed color image is one of the nicer ones that I have seen, and shows the light tower with attached 1 ½ story keeper’s dwelling on the rocky point on Ten Pound Island. 20215b. [paperweight) Heavy glass paperweight featuring an early c.1890 photograph of "Point Judith Lighthouse, R. I." This rare item features a nice detailed sepia image of the masonry light tower, 1 ½-story keeper’s dwelling and nearby fog signal building surrounded by a white board fence. An excellent early image, clear, crisp near fine. (F-). $88 net.

We will also weigh the items and advise postage.

We have reduced our paper use for catalogue subscriptions by over 90% and continue to try to save in these areas. Any items that cannot be re-used are sent to recycle, as is all of the paper and catalogues that we receive in the mail. Please continue to recycle such items when you receive them as well.
